Evaluative

In 1893, Daniel Swarovski invented a unique technology for processing crystal with perfect edges. One of the first works was a Christmas crystal ball in the form of many ideal facets with unprecedented precision and unique refraction of light. Subsequently, this technology has grown into the world-famous Swarovski empire.

Crystal Ice

The prototype of this work was Faberge’s “Winter Egg” made according to the Emperor’s personal order for the New Year of 1913. Subsequently, this ball became an adornment of the private collection of the Rothschilds.

Christmas tale

This ball was made by craftsmen from Bohemia for Christmas 1844 in honor of the first edition of Ernest Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann’s fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” in Nuremberg. The ball is kept in the Hoffmann Museum in Bamberg, Germany.

Versailles

The prototype of the Christmas gift to Louis XV from the craftsmen in honor of the opening of the first Baccarat crystal factory in France in 1823. At the moment this ball is kept in the Museum of Versailles.
